About the Role

Restoration Canada is looking for an experienced Water Damage Mitigation Technician to join our GTA team. You will respond rapidly to water, sewage, and fire-related emergencies, performing mitigation and demolition work to minimize damage and accelerate the drying process for residential and commercial properties.

This is an on-the-road position, with standard hours of 8:30 am – 5:00 pm. Additional hours may be required to complete daily tasks, along with monthly on-call rotations covering evenings and weekends.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond quickly to emergency water, sewage, and fire-related damage calls
• Extract water from flood and fire-damaged structures
• Set up containment barriers and content protection systems
• Perform demolition: remove damaged carpet, hardwood, baseboard, cabinets, drywall, and laminate
• Handle contents precisely — assess salvageable vs. non-salvageable items
• Take accurate moisture readings and set up drying equipment for optimal drying time
• Deliver materials to and from restoration job sites
• Assist with commercial kitchen and hood cleaning projects
• Keep vehicle interior clean and ensure all required supplies are on board
• Maintain warehouse and equipment in an organized and clean condition
• Advise clients appropriately, qualify jobs, and build customer confidence
• Attend training meetings as determined by management

Requirements

✅ Required

• ✓ Valid driver's license in good standing
• ✓ Own transportation to get to and from the warehouse
• ✓ Ability to lift 50 lbs and work comfortably in tight or confined spaces
• ✓ High standard of personal grooming and professional appearance
• ✓ Reliable attendance and punctuality that meets company standards
• ✓ Strong interpersonal skills — ability to build good working relationships at all levels
